According to ESPN, the Indiana Pacers has traded their long-term player Danny Granger to the Philadelphia 76ers and grabbed Evan Turner to join their team. Moreover, at the end of the season Turner will be a restricted free agent and the 76ers were not planning on re- signing him. But at the end of the trade the Pacers were able to make a deal with  Granger’s expiring 13 million contract and the lesser draft pick. The trade will also lower the Pacer's payroll by seven million.

Turner was averaging a career-high 17.4 points, 6.0 rebounds and 3.7 assists for the struggling 76ers. He's been a bit of a volume scorer, however, shooting just 43 percent overall and 29 percent on 3-pointers. He still should be an upgrade for the Pacers, who currently rank 19th in offensive efficiency.

In addition, The Pacers sent a  2015 second round pick to Philadelphia and picked up Lavoy Allen from the 76ers as they gave away Spencer Hawes to the Cleveland Cavaliers.
