“Maine was a wonderful man who was truly taken too soon. He was taken away from us 7/11/11. He is the father of my 5yr old son. We met 11yrs ago in school. His charm won me over then and I still love him with all of my heart. Never imagined living without him. He was a fun outgoing person that loved his family, loved to make people laugh, and loved to smile. He was a very good father and loved his kids dearly. Not a day goes by that I dont think about him. He will forever be in our hearts and be the man of my dreams. His legacy lives on through our son Trumaine Clements Jr. May he rest in peace.”

“My brother was murder in Dade county FL in 1986. His murderer never served one day in prison. His murder was deemed justifiable homicide. When Trayvon Martins case hit the air waves the pain and hurt I felt for my brother's murder came flooding back in...I have began rallying against senseless killings. I am working with a group called Global Empowerment Training Assistance (G.E.T.A) we are working to end GUN violence and change GUN laws. We are currently working with several Philadelphia organizations along Mayor Nutter to decrease the number of senseless murder in the City of Philadelphia. It is not about winning for me, but bringing justice for our love ones who have been senselessly taken away from us. God bless you Quincy I love you and you will never be forgotten you baby sis! Please check out our blog thank you! Sharon Sendler”

“I honor of my son's memory I will always speak of him. I will tell people of how funny and smart he was. He forever be one of my three children, my first born, my High School graduate. He loved to write and put music together. He was dearly loved by his girlfriend, his brother and sister, aunts, uncles, cousins his grandparents and his father. We all have stories to tell of him some good and some bad. He was a becoming the man I always prayed he would be. Raising him was difficult as so was he, but I stuck by his side pushing him; guaranteeing him that their was more to life then the streets. My son was my everything and he was murdered right in front of me and his 11yr old sister. His murderer didn't even care that we were right there. On every anniversary of his murder I plan to celebrate his life. I want his children and all the kids in the family to know who there older cousin was and how much he was and is loved...”

“My best friend weighed less than 130lbs and was about 5'6. He was unarmed, and three officers were handling the situation. I guess all thee officers couldn't handle such a "big guy", and they shot my unarmed friend in the chest, without using any form of non lethal restraints. He was also handcuffed PRIOR to being shot. join the petition: https://www.facebook.com/events/335399629870433/”

BRUCE MATTHEWS Bruce MATTHEWS age 31, was stabbed to death in Camden, NJ March 17,2012 . He was stabbed earlier this year in the same vicinity where his life was taken. Bruce lived just blocks away from the scene of the crime and his family is struggling to push on with life because someone is walking around freely. Our family holds the Larry Gaines Stop The Violence Tournament in downtown Camden,NJ every August, promoting peace, and we are citizens that wished for a change before tradegy struck the family. We insist on a change because Camden is small and we mourn almost everyday for friendsfriends of friends. Bruce leaves behind a son who keeps our hearts and minds filled with his dad when we look in his eyes, a large amount of family and friends. We miss his infectious laughter and the fact that with each time he left us he made sure to say, "I love you!" Love you to BRUCEY

SCOOT There's a hole in my heart that will never heal. A coward decided to shoot my son in cold blood on a cold winter night. He has taken what is most dear to me, my blood, my son, my youngest, Jamaal aka Scoot. My son was an intelligent, articulate, determined young man. His future was bright. I regret we will not be able to see his contribution to society. What he was bringing, because he was on his way.

This Mural was done in September of 2011 marking one year of the passing of my son. My son was shot mutiple times and killed at the young age of 21, leaving to mourn his parents, siblings, family and friends to many to mention, but the bitter heartbreak is his daughter who had just turned one year of age who will not remember, but will constantly be reminded of how much her father loved her, she was his world! Forever Missed,Forever Loved represents everyone he came in contact with young/old, because to know him was to love him and that's the mark he left!
